Hydro-Carbons on Saturns's Moon

The Cassini spacecraft has found cup-like craters filled with hydro-carbons on Saturn's moon Hyperion. According to the astronomers, the finding could indicate more widespread presence in our solar system of the basic chemicals necessary for life. The spacecraft also found water and carbon-dioxide ices, as well as dark materials. NASA has admitted that Cassini's UV imaging spectrograph and visual and infrared mapping spectrometer captured compositional variations in Hyperion's surface.
